Notation Basics
Combo notation on this wiki uses a standardized format across all Style guides and video tutorials. Understanding the format lets you read any combo route on Honored One, Ten Shadows, or Black Death pages without relearning symbols.
Core Symbols
M1 — basic attack (tap or hold for strings). Numbers 1-4 — skill slots mapped to your Style's abilities. R — enhanced skill variant (Twofold Kick + R on Honored One). G — awakening activation or shikigami command (Ten Shadows). → — then, execute next move after previous connects. + — simultaneous input (R + Twofold Kick).
- 4 M1 — four basic attack hits in sequence
- 3 M1 Downslam — three M1 hits ending in downslam finisher
- 3 M1 Uppercut — three M1 hits ending in uppercut launcher
- 1 → 2 → 3 — skill chain in slot order
- R + 3 — hold R while pressing skill 3
- Front Dash — dash toward opponent (Q + forward)
- Double tap 2 — press skill 2 twice quickly (Yuta Black Flash)
Reading Full Combos
Example: "4 M1 → Lapse Blue → Rapid Punches → Twofold Kick + R → Reversal Red" translates to: land four M1 hits, use Lapse Blue (skill 1), chain Rapid Punches (skill 4), press Twofold Kick (skill 3) with R enhancement, finish with Reversal Red (skill 2).
Ten Shadows example: "4 Summon → Front Dash → 3 M1 Downslam → 4 → 3 → 3 M1 Downslam → 2 → 1 → 4 (2x)" — summon shikigami, dash forward, downslam M1 string, then skill chain with double skill 4 at the end.
Platform Translation
PC: number keys for skills, Q for dash, R for enhanced variants. Mobile: on-screen skill buttons correspond to 1-4, dash button for Q, special button for R. Arrow notation is platform-agnostic — the sequence is identical regardless of input device.
